In August 1948, Louis Blish Hills wrote
Matthew Rhodes Blish,
the compiler of the 1956 addendum to the
James Knox Blish Genealogy, saying that:
"…he and his mother had always liked the name Blish" and
that he named his son, Charles Blish Hills.
M.R. Blish goes on to say that "apparently the name continued in favor,
since Blish C. Hills gave his son the name of George Blihs Hills."
In 1999,
Blish Charles Hills wrote
Charles Benjamin Blish, the third compiler of the
Blish Genealogy series, and provided additional details for the Hills
family line to the 11th generation.
